Rick Sosa
Founder & President

Rick Sosa is a U.S. Army Ranger Veteran, immigrant, and experienced Union Lineman who built Grind-Well from the ground up with a focus on safety, discipline, and service.

After coming to the United States at 15, he quickly became a U.S. citizen, and enlisted in the Army at 17, later earning a place in the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. Rick served four combat tours before an injury ended his military career, an experience that shaped his uncompromising approach to risk and team safety.

In 2005, Rick began his career as a Union Electrical Lineman with IBEW Local 9, starting as an Apprentice and rapidly advancing to Journeyman Lineman, Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager overseeing multiple departments. With more than two decades in the Electrical Construction industry and deep experience in Medium-Voltage distribution, he has led complex Overhead and Underground projects, system upgrades, and 24/7 Emergency Response work.

Rick founded Grind-Well in 2022 with a clear mission: to create an elite, Veteran-led Electrical Utility Contractor that delivers safe, reliable infrastructure while opening doors for others.

He holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and an MSCJ from American Military University, and he continues to translate military values—accountability, teamwork, and perseverance—into every aspect of the company’s operations and culture.

Hana Sosa brings a uniquely disciplined background in law enforcement, firearms training, and large-scale operations leadership to her role at Grind-Well.

She served for more than 15 years in local and federal law enforcement, including assignments as a Detective and Federal Air Marshal, and became the first woman promoted to the Boston Field Office training division.

In 2012, Hana joined SIG SAUER, where she rose to Director of Training & Special Events and led a team of more than 100 employees. She helped build the company’s first dedicated Training Division and supported significant annual revenue growth through high-impact training programs and events.

Hana transitioned to the Electrical Utility industry in 2022, joining Grind-Well as Chief of Staff & Operations. Today, she is the strategic engine behind one of the fastest-growing Veteran-owned Utility Contractors in the region, driving operational discipline, culture, and long-term growth.

Her focus is on implementing rigorous safety standards, scalable business processes, and people-first practices that elevate the company while expanding opportunity - especially for Veterans and underrepresented communities.
